FAQ

How much do you charge?
You can see a full description of all services and costs on the Services & Prices page. If you have any different requirements just get in touch and I can give you a quote and hopefully help with your pet care needs.

How many dogs are walked at any one time?
A maximum of four. Please specify if you’d prefer your dog to be walked alone or if they may not enjoy a group walk.

Will I meet my dog walker/pet sitter?
Of course. Before any services are arranged we will come to your home for a meet and greet to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have.

Do you arrange picking up and dropping off the dogs you walk?
Yes, I will collect your dog from your home at the pre-arranged time and drop them off again after the walk.

Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured including cover for loss of keys.

Do I need to be home when you collect or drop off my dog?
No. Most clients are comfortable sharing a set of keys with me to enable me to collect and drop off your dog even if you are not home.

Do you do out-of-hours walking/pet sitting?
Yes, bank holiday, weekend and evening walks/visits can be booked subject to availability but please contact Eleanor to arrange. Extra charges may be applicable.

What do I do if I need to cancel?
Please contact me via phone/text with more than 24 hours notice for no charges to apply.

What do you do in case of an emergency?
In the unlikely event of an emergency I will contact you immediately using the contact details you provide. If veterinary assistance is required your pet will be taken to your chosen vet or if circumstances don’t allow that, to the nearest possible vet.

Will my dog be supervised at all times?
Yes, your dog will never be left unattended while out on a walk.

Where do you walk?
Kings Heath Park, Moseley Park & Pool, Moseley Bog, Holders Lane/Pebble Mill fields and Highbury Park. If your dog has a favourite place to go then let me know and we’ll try to accommodate.

What security measures do you have?
I will never pass on your details to any other business or organisation; all keys are kept securely, separate from contact details and will not be identifiable to any address.

How do you transport the dogs to the walk location?
I will walk with your dog to and from the chosen park or collect them in the van, depending on daily schedules.

I only require occasional pet visits/dog walks, not every week or every day, can you help?
Definitely! All services are supplied as and when you need them. More notice is preferable but we will always try to accommodate your needs, so just give us a call if something comes up and you need help caring for your pet at short notice.

Would you stay overnight at a customer’s home to care for dogs?
We can offer this service if it’s required, subject to availability. We do, however, offer a dog boarding service which involves your dog staying with Eleanor for the period of time you’re unable to care for them.

We just got a puppy and we both work, what services do you provide for a puppy?
I can visit your home, once or twice a day (you choose), to feed, change water, clear up any accidents, let out and play/interact with your puppy until they are able to be go outside. At which time we will walk them and begin to introduce them to other dogs.

Can dogs stay with you?
Yes, we offer a boarding service.

What happens in bad weather?
The same thing that happens in good weather! We’ll walk your dog come rain or shine. Please leave a towel near the door so we can dry off and clean a wet, muddy dog so they’re happy and dry and your house is kept clean.

Do you walk dogs off the lead?
If you request it. You will give consent for this at the meet and greet.

Can you administer my pet’s medication?
Yes, I can do this if you provide written instructions on how to do so.

When are you available to walk my dog/visit my pet?
All day Monday – Friday. Please contact me for requests for services outside of these times.
